Rotor Patterns

Plain Rotors
The most economical disc finish option. Plain rotors are more resistant to cracking and warping.


Grooved Rotors
Improves heat dissipation and reduces gas build up on disc and pad surfaces allowing cleaner contact areas. Help with continuous pad deglazing. In wet weather grooves prevent a film of water building up between the disc and the pads.  

Spot Grooved Rotors
Improves heat dissipation and reduces gas build up on disc and pad surfaces allowing cleaner contact areas. Help with continuous pad deglazing.   In wet weather grooves prevent a film of water building up between the disc and the pads.   

Race Grooved Rotors
The race stops before the end of the disc to ensure that the edge of the disc is stronger and less likely to crack. The grooved improve heat dissipation and reduces gas build up on disc,  in wet weather grooves prevent a film of water building up between the disc and the pads. Recommended for heavy braking and track use.

Cross Drilled Rotors
Improves heat dissipation and reduces gas build up on disc and pad surfaces allowing cleaner contact areas. Under strenuous circumstances are more likely to crack than grooved or plain rotors. Only available on vented and solid rotors.

Combi Rotors
A more visual effect for show cars, the combi finish combines the benefits and the weaknesses of both the grooved and cross drilled discs.  Only available on vented and solid rotors.
